Irish Author Nominated For Prize
Irish author Sebastian Barry is among the nominees for this year's Man Booker Prize. Barry, who was shortlisted in 2005 for his novel 'A Long Long Way', is nominated this year for 'The Secret Scripture'.
The other nominees this year are: Aravind Adiga ('The White Tiger'), Amitav Ghosh ('Sea of Poppies'), Linda Grant ('The Clothes on Their Backs'), Philip Hensher ('The Northern Clemency') and Steve Toltz ('A Fraction of the Whole').
The winner will be announced on 14 October.
